We are enjoying an incredible autumn fishing season here at Land’s End. After one of the best summer seasons ever, the water is still beautiful, warm and blue. Temps are in the upper 70’s and the fish are here!!!
We are seeing a tuna bite that has not been seen in the 27 years we have been in Cabo. Massive schools of 10-30 lb tuna are literally everywhere. The morning and evening bite on live sardines has been incredible. Light tackle action with light leaders has been providing super-fast action and full coolers. Many times, we are getting the tuna within a few hundred yards of the arch! They have been here for the past couple months and show no sign of slowing down. Remember to keep only what you can use. We have been releasing fish after the fish hold is full.
The dorado and striped marlin bite up on the Pacific side has been good also. It has been hot and then average, with double digit shots on marlin some days and then back to the average of 2-3 shots per day. As the water cools up north and the mackerel start to show up, we will see more action on the stripey’s and wahoo also. Fall season in Cabo is amazing, anything can happen. There are still some monster blue marlin around as they migrate south for the winter.
Captain Bernie and deckhand Beto have the Bad Medicine running better than ever. We have also added new electronics and new fishing tackle. The guys have been more “fishy” than ever, with one of the best years on the books.
Cabo Villas Beach Resort & Spa has been fully remodeled and also features a brand new beach club and restaurant. Get down here to stretch your arms!
